Founder & CEO

Kervin leads this organization with 10 years of sales, marketing and management experience. His entrepreneurial zeal and passion for serving rural business communities has led to the growth of this brand. Having a background of living in the rural farming community, retail & sales management and online e-commerce international business as well as education through several business courses at Conestoga College, Kervin is well equipped to lead the organization to serve rural business communities.

Kervin and his wife Kendra live in Alma, ON and enjoy travelling, global missions and quality time with family & friends.

Administrative Assistant

Kendra joined Horizon Quest Inc in 2018 through marriage and brings many talents to the brand. Kendra has 5 years school teaching experience as well as over 4 years serving as a missionary in Liberia, Africa. Kendra was born and raised in Pennsylvania and brings a valuable connection to our Lancaster county division’s clients and community.

Kendra’s writing skills, mastery of the English language, previous administrative experience and willingness to help around the office are a valuable part of our team as well as her emotional support for her husband and the team at large.

Gladys Bowman

Accounts Manager

Gladys has worked in accounting and finance for the last 10+ years for small to mid-size companies. She has recently graduated from Laurentian University with her Bachelor of Commerce degree and has a CPA designation. She is overseeing all the financial aspects of Horizon Quest which include invoicing, payroll, payables, and receivables.

Willard Bauman

HR Director

Willard Bauman is 68 years old and has been married to his wife Marilyn for 45 years. They have 3 children who are living independently.
1984-2015 – Co-owner and manager of a Bakery waste recycling facility. Processed over 50,000 tonnes of bakery waste products and converted into an animal feed product thereby diverting waste from the land fill. Presently he is enjoying spending more time with his wife and family, golfing, mentoring and volunteering in a church and various charitable organizations.

Jules Noordhoek

Design & Web Manager

Jules has been a Project Manager in the communications industry for 16+ years. Starting in labour law publishing, through to advertising, financial communications, non-profit, and now managing the Design and Web teams at Horizon Quest, she loves to rise to new challenges. Jules uses her experience to keep projects organized, on time and on budget. Coming from a one-stoplight town to a downtown metropolis, she is now comfortably settled in the community-focused, and friendly “Royal City.”

US Sales Manager

Dave has over thirty years of sales and marketing experience, including brochure design, website content and design, and marketing campaigns. He can relate to the needs of the small business person, having owned several businesses. Having just moved from Colorado, Dave is enjoying working in “Amish Country” and enjoying the beauty of Lancaster County.

Irvin Weaver Jr.

US Advisory Board

I am Irvin Weaver, Jr. and was born in Lancaster County, PA, in 1958. My wife Karen and I have six children and are blessed with 24 grandchildren. My parents started a retail business which celebrated 60 years of service this year in Fivepointville, PA. I have been involved in the family business for over 45 years. I believe Horizon Quest will expand its business in PA, as it develops more relationships in this region.

Nate served in the US Navy for 4 years before entering the sales field. He now has over 10 years of experience with sales and customer service. Nate enjoys being outdoors and playing golf or spending time with friends and family.

Tricia has been in the advertising industry for over 20 years and uses her sales & marketing expertise to help her clients meet their marketing goals. She enjoys golfing, hiking, reading, gardening, cooking and baking. She also enjoys spending quality time with family and friends.

Lisa brings 25 plus years of corporate and small business advertising, marketing communications and sales expertise to her clients. Helping small businesses to increase their profile in the community is her top priority. She resides in West Grey with her husband and two Portuguese water dogs.

Nicole brings over 25 years of experience working in the advertising and marketing field. She has worked with small to large and corporate businesses throughout her career helping them with their marketing and advertising needs. Her goals are to help each client achieve success by providing the highest customer service. Nicole has resided in Fergus for over 20 years.

Rose possesses knowledge and experience in many different areas of design but excels in print advertising. Rose holds a two-year graphic design diploma from Georgian College and is currently working remotely from her home in Seguin, ON.

Laura grew up in Elora and worked at Horizon Quest during the summer between studying graphic design and web design at Sheridan College. After graduating she moved to Toronto where she now lives with her husband and works remotely. Whether for print or web, Laura strives to design experiences that continually engage and delight.

Dean is a part time graphic designer with 10 years of experience in the graphic design industry.  Dean had a solid foundation to start his career with a diploma in graphic and web design. Driven by a passion for helping people and problem solving, Dean is a fire fighter when he is not here at HQ.

Jay is a Web and Graphic designer at Horizon Quest, a business solution as well as advertising and marketing firm. Previously Jay worked with entrepreneurs and small corporate businesses helping them with their web/social media presence and marketing needs. He graduated with honours from Seneca College with a Diploma in Interactive Media Design.

Web Developer

Jeff brings over 25 years of web development experience to the Horizon Quest team and ensures that our clients’ websites perform well across all major browsers and devices. Jeff has a high level of proficiency, with industry-standard graphic design software and coding packages, which he uses to take our projects from wireframe concepts to responsive websites.

David Chiswell

Bookkeeping Assistant

David joins the team at Horizon Quest with over 25 years experience in the management of retail business. Deciding it was time to make a career change, David attented Conestoga College and obtained his Office Administration Certificate. While working on his Office Admin certificate, David found a passion in bookkeeping and is now working on his Bookkeeping Certificate at Conestoga College. He currently assists Gladys in the financial workings of Horizon Quest.

Chelsea Adam

Program Coordinator

Chelsea has worked her way through customer service and office administration, dipping into agriculture/animal care as well. While also currently working part time for a local real estate office, she came to Horizon Quest with a positive, friendly attitude and enough experience to assist Julie with the training services that are offered here. She enjoys spending quality time with family and friends and is very passionate about her Volkswagen. Chelsea currently lives here in Fergus with her Siberian Husky.

Estelle comes to Horizon Quest with an extensive background in customer service and office administration. She is a graduate of Millersville University with a degree in Writing Studies/Print Media Journalism. Estelle currently lives in Lancaster, PA with her husband.

Rick’s background is in working with Customer Service. Through his community involvement Rick understands the North Wellington community very well and is looking forward to working with the existing clients as well as developing new relationships in the local area. Rick resides in the Mount Forest area with his wife and 4 kids!

Through her previous employment with Canada Post, Federal Government and a variety of volunteer positions, Christy has developed exceptional strength in people management, coaching and training. She has successfully led and developed employees to reach optimal productivity while reaching performance expectations. Christy spends many hours hiking the trails around Elora and Fergus with her Husky and camera.
