Joint Health & Safety Committee Part 2 in Fergus

September 17 @ 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

Please note that this event is Sept 17th and 18th from 8 am - 4 pm Part two training focuses on: The concepts of hazard recognition, assessment, control and evaluation of hazard controls Participants will learn how to apply these concepts to a minimum of six (6) hazards relevant to their own workplaces. The learner will practice drafting action plans and recommendations for the employer through an activity.  

Working at Heights in Fergus

As of April 1, 2015, employers must ensure that certain workers complete a working at heights training program that has been approved by the Chief Prevention Officer and delivered by an approved training provider before they can work at heights. The training requirement is for workers on construction projects who use any of the following methods of fall protection: travel restraint systems, fall restricting systems, fall arrest systems, safety nets and work belts or safety belts.

WHMIS in Listowel

Please note that this event is taking place in Listowel. WHMIS symbols, labels, and MSDS are changing. WHMIS 2015 (GHS) comes into full force in 2018; we train both 1988 and 2015 systems in this transition stage as both systems could be encountered in the workplace.
